Rinjee Sherpa. 2/7 Gr.), edge bruising, very fine Estimate £ 50-70 21137602 Rifleman Rinjee Sherpa, enlisted in the Brigade of Gurkhas, 6.10.1949; attached Army Catering Corps; transferred 7th Gurkha Rifles, 1.6.1951; served in Malaya, 3.1.1950-6.3.1952 (awarded General Service medal 1918-62 with clasp Malaya); sentenced to 14 days restriction of privileges, 14.2.1961, for ´´using insubordinate language to his superior officer in that he, at Blakang Mata, on 12th February 1961, did say to L/Corporal Sankhaman Rana "You are junior to me, you cannot give orders to me, you Small Pubic Hair" or words to that effect´´ (recipient´´s record of service refers); served during the Borneo Campaign and operations on the Malay Peninsula; discharged 3.12.1968, after 19 years and 59 days with the Colours.
