Jackson, 9th Coy. 3rd Imp: Yeo:), minor edge bruising, otherwise good very fine Estimate £ 140-180 524 Private Omri Jackson, born Yorkshire; enlisted 3rd (Yorkshire Hussars) Company 3rd Battalion Imperial Yeomanry, 6.1.1900; he was killed in action at Swartzkopjeftn, 20.4.1900, during the march to Boshof. The 3rd Imperial Yeomanry formed the rearguard of the column and was attacked by approximately 2,000 Boers, suffering two killed and six wounded. Jackson´´s name appears on a memorial tablet in York Minster.
