Infy.), suspension slack, nearly very fine, scarce to officer Estimate £ 340-380 Major Edmund Saffery Cooper, born 1862; commissioned Lieutenant (from Militia) Durham Light Infantry, 1883; served with the Soudan Frontier Field Force, 1885-86, and was present in the engagement at Giniss (entitled to Egypt Medal and Khedive´´s Star); transferred Bengal Staff Corps, 1887; served with the Hazara Expedition, including action at Kotkai, 1888 (entitled to medal); Captain 1894 served on the North West Frontier, 1897-98, during the Defence of Malakand, the action of Landakia and operations in Mohmand Country; Major 19.12.1901; retired 19.3.1905.
