x India General Service 1854-95, one clasp, Kachin Hill 1892-93 (415 Pte. M. Gavin 2nd Bn. P.W.O. Yorkshire Regt.), extremely fine Estimate £ 700-900 415 Private Michael Gavin , born Liverpool; joined 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, 1882; served in Egypt and would have been entitled to the campaign medal plus the Khedive´´s Star, however, he deserted and forfeited them as a consequence; he re-joined from desertion, July 1887, having received the Queen´´s Pardon and served in India (earning his I.G.S.), 1889-95; discharged 1899. Approximately 112 ´´Kachin Hills 1892-93´´ clasp awards to the 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment.
