Commt Dept), good very fine, scarce to Europeans Estimate £ 400-450 Conductor William Jeffreys; enlisted Bengal Artilliery, 1847; served during the Punjab Camapign, 1848-49 (entitled to medal and Mooltan and Goojerat clasps); advanced Sergeant 1861; transferred as Sub Conductor Bengal Commissariat Department, 1870; served in the expeditions against the Duffa Hill Tribes, 1874-75 and against the Naga Hill Tribes, 1879-80; Conductor 1881; discharged 1882.
