x Egypt Foreign Letter Rates 1889 (4 Nov.) envelope, complete with letter written by Prince George, later King George V, registered from Cairo to A.C. Lowry on H.M.S. Dreadnought at Malta, bearing 2pi. orange cancelled with Cairo Registered c.d.s. and showing "egypte/r" registered h.s. and Brindisi registration d.s. (8.11), arrival c.d.s. (9.11) on reverse; the letter, written on Royal Yacht Osborne paper, is headed "Ghizeh Palace" includes reference to a bad passage in Osborne en route to Cairo and comments on Lowry´s return to the U.K. after four years of service in Egypt.
