x Egypt Foreign Letter Rates 1886 (23 Aug.) envelope, complete with letter written by Princess Zenab Ilhami (daughter of Ismail Pasha, Khedive of Egypt, 1863-79) registered from Cairo to England, franked at 1pi. and showing registration cachet alongside arrival d.s. (30.8), the contents, written in French, inviting the recipients to the Annual Winter Fete in Cairo; the letter and flap of the envelope with embossed image of a cat´s head, the latter alongside a fine red wax seal of the Princess.
