Uganda Covers and Cancellations 1897 wrapper from Miss Edith M. Furley, lay missionary, addressed to London, bearing type-set 1a. handstamped "L", showing unframed "T", "5d/f.b." h.s. (tying the 1a.) and, on reverse, Machakos (9.12), Mombasa (20.12), Zanzibar and arrival (17.1.98) datestamps. Very rare, approximately ten covers or fronts recorded with the "L" overprints.
