Uganda 1895 (April) Wide Letters in Black, Narrow Stamps In order to save space, the Rev. Ernest Millar changed the sheet format by typing eleven rows across the sheet. Retaining thirteen vertical rows, 143 stamps were obtained in each sheet. When the bottom of the page was approached, the paper was removed, inverted, re-inserted in the machine, giving tête-bêche pairs separated by a narrow gap which was then filled by typing in the details of the composition of the sheet. The stamps varied in width from 16mm. to 18mm. 60(c.) unused with trace of margin at top and at foot, a narrow example with "u" touched, faint ageing at left and microscopic pinhole. S.G. 25, £7500.
