Egypt 20pa. stationery card to Des Moines, Iowa cancelled by Louxor c.d.s. and showing Assiout, Alexandrie and arrival datestamps. The message, written the day after Gordon arrived at Khartoum on his ill-fated venture, ends "We hear lots of talk about el Mahdi.
