Kings Royal Rifles Ferozepore Punjaub", bearing 1881 1d. lilac cancelled with Ipswich duplex and showing, on reverse, large part arrival c.d.s. for 9 May indicating that the cover was transmitted by an ordinary continental train service across Europe to Brindisi "providing the letter was posted in time to leave London on a Thursday morning", a slow rate taking seven weeks to reach it´s destination; the envelope with flap missing and some stains though most unusual Estimate £ 70-80
