Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate VI AB, small to very large margins bearing a central cancellation of home-made Maltese Cross in black, probably carved from wood consisting of a crudely cut, straight-sided cross around diamond with central dot affixed on piece. An unusual and desirable example. With buff B.P.A. Certificate (2009) stating "not possible to certify as belonging to piece. The committee decline to certify this over-inked obliterator".
