Great Britain 1853 (3 June) stampless envelope to Boskowiz (Moravia) with six page enclosure on paper with blue embossed monogram in the hand of Queen Victoria, a conversational letter, in German, to Count Alphonse Mensdorff-Pouilly (first cousin of the Queen) thanking him for his birthday good wishes, his health and Alexander, "he does not have to go back to Russia and he should withdraw from his diplomatic mission altogether - you must urge him to accept mother´s invitation to Scotland, because the invigorating air there will make him better quickly", and marriage, "The engagement of Leopold Brabant to the young Arch-Duchess marie delights us, but we only find that one should hold back with the wedding a little bit..."; the envelope with a full range of markings, red wax seal largely complete on reverse, fine.
