Nova Scotia 1860-63 Decimal Issue A collection neatly mounted and attractively written-up on sixteen pages; included are a range of plate proofs (58) from all values with many blocks of four or six and several overprinted "specimen"; mint issued stamps with all values represented, many in blocks and including 1c. marginal strip of five imperforate vertically and 5c. deep blue on white paper (ex Argenti), and covers (8) with 1c. used as a drop letter rate, incorrectly from Halifax to Gays River, 2c. (2), 5c. pair and a single (early usage in November 1860), 10c. to U.S.A. and redirected, 10c. bisected diagonally and used as a single County rate, and 12 1/2c. to England; also six forgeries and a piece of Bartlett illustrated notepaper. Generally fine and a most attractive collection which would form a good basis upon which to expand Estimate £ 1,200-1,500
