India Used Abroad Persia abadan: 1917 piece of ruled paper (302x205mm.) bearing KGV 1/2a. to 1r. (9 values) each cancelled with superb "abadan" double-ring d.s., sent with compliments of the Postmaster and with manuscript "A set of Indian Postage Stamps issued at the Oil Company´s Works at Abadan, which is in Persia. The ordinary stamp in use is Persian, & the Persian Government was rather annoyed at this private post being started, as it did them out of a part of their own revenue.".
