India Covers and Cancellations A collection covering a variety of subjects, neatly mounted and written-up in two volumes contained in a carton, the collection is divided into topics as follows: Despatch marks (61) with a selection of pre-stamps, six with 1854 1/2a. or 1a. values and a range of later Q.V.; Late Fee (13) with various cachets; Military Marks (20), mostly W.W.II with censor marks and other cachets; Miscellaneous (37) with air mail markings, Express Delivery, Insured, Local Post, V.P.labels, etc.; Missent and Redirected Mail (15) with labels and instructional marks; Peon Marks (2); Postage Due (36) with a range of handstamps and cachets; Slogans (104) with this section including many of the traditional types of slogan from 1917 and other "slogan" types with Viceroy, Queen Emperor and Prince of Wales Camp c.d.s., 1911 Coronation Durbar including machine d.s., Lady Minto´s Fete, United Provinces Exhibition, 1911 First Aerial Post, Madras Marian Congress and 1927 Royal Air Force Display; Railway (4), and Postal Associations (6) postcards showing postmen.
