(4.3) and "charges not paid" "Cross" h.s. in violet, marked "Refused" with "refuse/refused" and boxed "retour" h.s. and with manuscript "7d To pay" in red ink, the reverse with manuscript "Refused Retour Tried by Lensi Postman 4/3/38" alongside two Returned Letter Office c.d.s. for 19 march and 24 April; unusual.
