Uganda 1898-1902 De La Rue Issue Covers and Cancellations A collection of cancellations on loose stamps and pieces on a range of values to 5r. and a few later; comprising items from Ankole (3), Buddu (6, one with date in manuscript), Bugangadzi (1903, the earliest recorded date), Eldama (9, one the earliest date recorded and one with day inverted), Entebbe (9 with three showing date or year date inverted), Fawera (2, the only recorded examples, dated in 1899 (ex Rossiter) and 1900), Fort Portal (5 in two different types with earliest and latest recorded dates of use), Gondokoro (26 with part and complete strikes of the "gondokoro/post office" h.s.), Hoima (3, one the earliest recorded date of use), Jinga (5, one on Inland Revenue 1r. with "2" on "02" inverted and reversed and one the latest recorded date of use on 5r.), Kampala (12), Kisumu (3, one with month inverted and one in violet), Luba´s (6 with one earlier than recorded in Proud), Masindi (3), Mengo (12), Mumias (6, one with "2" in year date inverted), Nakuru (2), Nandi (2, one later than recorded by Proud), Nimuli (2, one in violet), Port Alice (4, one the latest recorded date of use), Port Ugowe (2, one the earliest recorded date of use), Toro (2, one the latest recorded date of use), Wadelai (5, one the earliest recorded date of use), and one with Retta; generally good to fine partial or complete strikes.
