Great Britain Line Engraved 1840 One Penny Black Plate Ia EI, good to large margins all round, small tear at foot into "e" of "one", applied to the upper-left of 1840 (12 May) entire letter and cancelled by two clear strikes of the red Maltese Cross (both contrary to regulations) to Hampstead with datestamps applied on the reverse (and opening well for display).
