Three: Private J. Johnstone, 42nd Royal Highlanders Crimea 1854-56, one clasp, Sebastopol (J. Johnstone. 42nd Regt.), officially impressed; Indian Mutiny 1857-58, one clasp, Lucknow (J. Johnstone, 42nd Rl. Highlanders); Turkish Crimea, Sardinian die, pierced as issued, with later claw suspension, light contact marks overall, therefore very fine (3) Estimate £ 400-450 Two Private John Johnstone´´s appear on the rolls as having served in the 42nd Royal Highlanders (Black Watch) at the time, both sharing the same medal entitlement. Their respective Regimental Numbers were 1552 and 3582. One group is known to have been held in the D. Huxstep Collection.
