A Victorian Officer´s Sword of Infantry Pattern With good 32 1/4 in. slightly curved fullered blade, the last 14 inches sharpened for service use, bearing VR cypher and foliate decoration, brass (originally gilt) Gothic guard (the outer bar slightly distorted) and wire-bound fishskin grip (the fishskin largely defective), gold lace sword-knot with three black stripes possibly indicating use by a medical officer, and brass scabbard with two suspension rings Estimate £ 120-180
