Great Britain 1841 Two Pence Plate 3 OE-OF, horizontal pair, OF touched at foot, good to large margins other sides, tied by single "569" 1844-type cancellation, contrary to regulations, on 1846 (5 Aug.) Overseers of the Poor printed entire to Barnard Castle. Turned on arrival and a pair of 1841 1d. applied, the entire returned to Northallerton (30/8); some staining, not affecting the fine appearance. Unusual. Brandon Certificate (2003).
