Great Britain Line Engraved 1841-53 One Penny Red-Brown Later Plates Plate 35, KL, margins all round, tied by black Maltese Cross cancellation to large part entire dated 27 March 1844, addressed to a Soldier in the Cape of Good Hope, re-addressed to Madras, red "ship letter not paid" datestamp, boxed arrival on reverse; stained and a few slight faults, nevertheless a vary scarce usage to an overseas address.
