Great Britain Postal History Soldiers Letters 1795 (10 Jan.), entire letter from Corporal J. Smith, 3rd. Battalion, 60th. Regiment at Guernsey to Dumfries and redirected to Ecclefechan, rated "7" (deleted) and "1/2" and showing a fair strike of the first type curved "guernsey" handstamp, largely albino circular framed "dum/fries" and manuscript "Missent to Lockerby", London transit datestamp on the reverse; the entire with some soiling but a very rare early soldier´s letter from the Island, interesting contents which include "..
