x Hong Kong Japanese Occupation Prisoners of War Camp ´S´, Shamshuipo (Other Ranks) 1942 (3 June) type 1 card from P. Hale to his wife in Australia bearing Terada censor chop, circular U.S. Censor "112" handstamp, Coogee arrival c.d.s. (19.11) and sadly marked "unclaimed" and "retour"; pencil notation on reverse, "Received 24/5/1943". Fine and from the first mailing. Illustrated page 62. Photo Estimate £ 300-400 The prisoners were informed on the 28th May that the first letters could be written for despatch on 6th June. Postcards and regulations were issued on 31st May. The writer´´s wife had returned to England
