Carried on the ill-fated ´Richard Wallace´ Ballon, with the Mail recovered from the Sea; manuscript on reverse "Reçue le 18 février-trouvé près les Sables d´Olonne au bord de la Mer"; slight re-inforcement at right, nevertheless a delightful and extremely rare Ballon Monté.
