x France Ballon Monté No. 30 ´Le Général Uhrich´ 1870 (12 Nov.), entire letter to Clérmont-Ferrand bearing 1867 20c. blue, applied just off edge of cover, tied by Paris Star/7. Reverse of entire with arrival (29 Nov.) c.d.s.; A fine example of the first ´Night Flight´, the Ballon being captured by the Prussians but the Mail being successfully hidden by the French.
