x France Ballon Monté No. 28 ´Le Daguerre´ 1870 (9 Nov.), Gazette Des Absents No. 6, a complete used example to Gournay en Braye franked by Siège 20c. blue tied by Paris Star/19 with Rue D´Amsterdam datestamp alongside. Reverse with Gornay (30 Nov.) arrival. The Daguerre carried a dog and 24 pigeons and was shot down by the Prussians; the mail was recovered by an employee of Alphonse de Rothschild.
