x France Ballon Monté No. 19 ´Le Vauban´ 1870 (24 Oct.), entire letter franked by Siège 20c. blue tied by Paris Star/1 and Rue de la Bourse c.d.s.; struck with Niort and Tours c.d.s. and readdressed eventually to Pau. The ´Vauban´ landed in a tree in enemy occupied territory and the Mail spilled to the ground, was collected and smuggled out. Estimate £ 100-140
