St. Lucia 1897 (11 Feb.) soldier´s envelope "From Corpl. Jno. J. Holden" to Canso Nova Scotia, countersigned by the Commanding Officer and bearing 1891 1/2d. green pair twice cancelled with "st. john n.b./ship letter" h.s. with a further part strike alongside, St. John N.B. and Canso arrival c.d.s. on reverse. Very rare. Photo Estimate £ 800-1,000 Note: "H" Company 1st. Battalion King´´s Liverpool Regiment went to St. Lucia in April 1896 commanded by Capt. Hartley. This cover was carried on the "Salvador" to Trinidad. From there it went by private ship to St. John, New Brunswick
