x British East Africa 1897 (2 Jan.) on Zanzibar, 1a. indigo and red with trial overprint in red showing no stop after "Africa", fresh with large part original gum; scarce with only one sheet with red overprint believed to have been printed before the decision was made to overprint in black on the 1a.
