Exchequer Order of Payment, (1715), a handwritten document to pay £387 18s 10d three farthings, to Thomas Coke, Vice Chamberlain of his Majesty´s Household, signed by 3rd Earl of Carlisle, the 1st Baron Onslow and Earl of Halifax, some very light trimming, fine and rare Estimate £ 140-160 Charles Howard, (c1669-1738), 3rd Earl of Carlisle, Privy Counsellor in 1701. First Lord of the Treasury from 1701 to 1702, and again in 1715. He commissioned the famous Stately house, Castle Howard, designed by Sir John Vanbrugh. Richard Onslow (1654-1717), 1st Baron Onslow, served as the Speaker of the House of Commons from 1708 until 1710 and as Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1714 until 1715.
