Fus.(Cardiff) 38700 Private Walter Warren, M.M., born Roath, Cardiff; served during the Great War with the Welsh Regiment (no. 11676) in the Gallipoli Theatre of War, from 27.6.1915; transferred to 19th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers on the Western Front, with whom he won his M.M., before transferring to 13th (Service) Battalion (1st North Wales) Royal Welsh Fusiliers; Warren was killed in action on the Western Front, 22.4.1918, and is buried in Bouzincourt Ridge Cemetery, Albert, France.
