London Gazette 1.10.1906 Beacham, Charles Arthur, Overseer, London Postal Service The recommendation, dated 23.7.1906, states: ´´Mr Charles Arthur Beacham has discharged his duties with diligence and fidelity to the satisfaction of his superior officers. He is recommended for the award of the Imperial Service Medal.´´ 2516 Lance Sergeant Charles Arthur Beacham, born May 1856; worked for the Post Office from August 1872; Appointed Head Postman, October 1892; Overseer, May 1894; Awarded Volunteer Long Service Medal 1.4.1901; Retired, 30.3.1906, after 30 years and 5 months with the Service, and awarded a pension of £100.
