London Gazette 11.11.1916 21205 Pte. J.H. Moss 11th Bn. L/Pool. R. 21205 Private John Henry Moss, M.M., served during the Great War with the 11th (Service) Battalion (Pioneers) Liverpool Regiment in the French Theatre of War, from 19.5.1915; Moss´´s Battalion, as part of the 14th (Light) Division, were in action on the Somme during August-September 1916; they took part in operations around the Delville Wood area, particularly from the 12th August - 30th August.
