x Three: Staff Sergeant C. Bridge, Special Air Service Regiment and Royal Army Service Corps War Medal; General Service 1918-62, E.II.R., one clasp, Malaya (14451891 Tpr. C. Bridge. S.A.S.); General Service 1962-, one clasp, Borneo (T/14451891 S.Sgt. C. Bridge. RASC.), toned, generally good very fine, mounted for display, with two original photographs, including one of recipient in uniform and 17 copied photographic images from recipient´s service in Malaya and Borneo including as part of ´H.Q. Sqn., 22nd Special Air Service Regt. Penang, January, 1954´, and a copy of his Certificate of Service (lot) Estimate £ 650-750 14451891 Staff Sergeant Cyril ´´Charlie´´ Bridge, born 1928; enlisted Royal Army Service Corps, 25.8.1944; joined 22 S.A.S., 1953, and served with ´´A´´ Squadron in Malaya from that year until 1956; during this time he was involved in numerous contacts whilst on patrols and completed fourteen operational tree desents in the jungle; he transferred to the Royal Corps of Transport before serving on River Patrol Boats searching for terrorists in Borneo,1964-1965; discharged 26.11.1967, after 23 years and 94 days service, his testimonial states, ´´a most reliable senior NCO whose capabilities as a seaman and soldier have no known limitations. Quiet but mature, his own personal behaviour, bearing, turnout and capacity for hard work leaves nothing to be desired. He also has much experience and ability in planning and organising tasks and controlling bodies of men to carry out work. Always cheerful and resourceful he is a most likeable person and easy to work with.´´
