N.Z.E.F.), good very fine (6) Estimate £ 120-150 11/762 Lance Corporal Henry Roger Farmer, born Scotland, February 1885; served before the Great War with the 4th Stirlingshire Battalion, Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders Volunteers; enlisted in the Wellington Mounted Rifles, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, 25.10.1914; embarked for the Dardanelles, 9.5.1915; transferred to Machine Gun Squadron, 15.7.1916; wounded in Action (shrapnel wounds in back and heart failure), 5.11.1917; died of wounds, 7.11.1917, and is buried in Kantara Military Cemetery, Egypt.
