Anglesey, Parys Mines Co., pattern Halfpenny obverse, druid´s bust to left, cabled border, edge engrailed with a chain-like pattern resembling a continuous unseriffed italicised letter S (DH.353, this specimen), a few minor digs on portrait but nearly extremely fine, unique Estimate £ 400-500 PROVENANCE: Lincoln ´No. 1 Collection´´ 1934 A old ticket identifying its Atkins reference (279/183) states ´This is probably the unique pattern which was in the possession of Mr Barker. It is mentioned by Pye [1801, plate] 3:1, and in Bazaar articles No 392´´
