Wood´ - General Nursing Council Badge, silver (Hallmarks for Birmingham 1923) and enamel, reverse engraved ´E.M. Wood. S.R.N. 22843 21.9.23´ (3) Estimate £ 350-400 Staff Nurse Edith Mary Wood, (1883-1970); trained at the Royal Infirmary, Manchester; enlisted in the Civil Hospital Reserve, 11.8.1914; entered the French Theatre of War, 17.8.1914; discharged as a result of suffering from a goitre, 25.9.1915, after 1 year and 40 days service.
