Three: Private H.A. Billinge, 18th Hussars 1914 Star (925 Pte H.A. Billing[sic].18/Hrs.); British War and Victory Medals (925 Pte. H.A. Billinge. 18-Hrs.), extremely fine (3) Estimate £ 180-220 925 Private Herbert Alfred Billinge, born East Ham 1886; served on the Western Front from 17.8.1914; killed in action 13.5.1915, on the latter date the 18th Hussars were in the trenches at Wieltje, they suffered 21 killed, 109 wounded and 24 missing; he is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
