Major Brian Hussey, M.C. born Romford, Essex, 1895; served in the ranks with the Royal Engineers (Territorial Force), for 45 days, before being commissioned Temporary Second Lieutenant, 17.10.1914; served during the Great War with the Royal Engineers in the French Theatre of War, from 15.8.1915 (entitled to 1914-15 Star); served as Acting Major 12.9.1918-22.7.1919 and 18.11.1919-26.3.1920; employed in the Allied Intervention Force in Russia 18.11.1918 - 12.10.1919; transferred as Captain Royal Corps of Signals, 20.11.1924; employed with the Egyptian Army, 1.4.1921-16.1.1925; attached to the Sudan Defence Force, 17.1.1925-31.3.1928.
