Great Britain Postal Stationery 1846 1d. pink postal stationery envelope addressed to the Rev. Haslam at Cotta in Ceylon and inscribed "By Overland Mail. Via Southampton" at top, the impressed value cancelled by pen ´cross´ (with "Pd 1/-" below in the same ink) and superb strike of the "gisboro/jy 15/1846/a" double-arc d.s. in blue, showing similarly superb cicular undated "redcar" (in a different shade of blue) and London Paid transit c.d.s.
