x Great Britain Line-Engraved Issues 1840 One Penny Black Plate VI HA, on entire letter used within Norfolk dated 4 January 1841 - parts of the address details and the interior being printed (the content is a ´Parochial Return´ questionaire from the Bishop of Norwich), the cover then turned and re-used to Norwich bearing plate VI, GI, dated 27 January 1841, margins all round, tied by fine to superb strikes of the red Maltese Cross, showing corresponding datestamps and supplementary markings including script-type "Too Late" in black; the adhesives lifted and replaced - probably as result of reduced cover staining though in no way affecting the excellent appearance. A most attractive and very rare usage which opens-out well for display. Photo Estimate £ 2,000-2,500
