British Guiana Covers and Cancellations Mail to the United Kingdom 1873 (1 Feb.) envelope from Georgetown "per Private Steamer Trinidad" to London, bearing 1866-71 perf. 10 6c. pale blue (defective) cancelled "A03" and showing manuscript "1 1/2" accountancy mark in red crayon, boxed "greenock/ship/letter" h.s. (Robertson S.16) and "ship-letter/paid/london" c.d.s. (Roberston S.54) alongside, Demerara and Greenock (19.2) c.d.s. on reverse; the envelope with a few small faults though the earliest recorded cover bearing the 6c. value. Photo Estimate £ 200-250
