British Guiana Covers and Cancellations Inland Mail 1860 (13 Apr.) large part envelope from Demerara to "Miss Margaret Alves New Amsterdam", bearing 1857-59 fresh lithographic transfers 1c. dull red Type C horizontal strip of four with large margins on three sides, touched or cut-into at upper left corner and on three stamps at top (mostly through irregular alignment), each cancelled with single-ring d.s. and showing a part strike of the despatch c.d.s. and Berbice arrival double-arc d.s. (13.4) on reverse; the envelope with flap missing and other faults though a very rare franking. A famous cover.
