Great Britain Line-Engraved Issues 1840 One Penny Black Plate 1b TL, shifted (basal) transfer and without ray flaw, an intermediate impression showing early signs of plate wear, small part selvedge at foot, good to very large margins on other sides, on piece tied by superb strike of the black Maltese Cross and fine red London "Paid" ´tombstone´ datestamp; the adhesive with trace of small crease at lower-right though in no way detracting.
