F. Jenkins. "F" Troop B.F.F.) c) Queen´s South Africa 1899-1902, five clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (Capt: F. Jenkins, Imp: Yeo:), with unofficial rivets between the State and date clasps d) British War and Victory Medals (Major F. Jenkins.), generally good very fine (5) Estimate £ 1,400-1,500 D.S.O. London Gazette 31.10.1902 Captain Frederick Jenkins, Imperial Yeomanry ´In recognition of services during operations in South Africa´ Major Frederick Jenkins, D.S.O., served with the 2nd Cinque Ports Royal Garrison Artillery Volunteers and was attached as Honorary Captain 94th (Metropolitan Mounted Rifles) Company 24th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry for service in South Africa, 1901-02 (D.S.O.; M.I.D. London Gazette 29.7.1902); transferred to the Reserve of Officers before re-engaging for service during the Great War as a Temporary Major, R.G.A., 24.5.1916.
