Wells, Fargo & Co. black on yellow envelope from Inverness, Que. to Mariposa, California, bearing 6c. brown Plate 2 cancelled with circle of bars and showing despatch c.d.s. at left. A very rare and attractive east bound transcontinental route cover. Photo Estimate £ 2,500-3,000 Note: The 6c. paid the rate as far as the U.S. Post Office would carry it, possibly Sacramento or San Francisco.
