R.E.), extremely fine, with photograph of recipient´s father and photograph of both recipients as boys in rolled gold locket (lot) Estimate £ 110-130 Harold and Sydney Hayward were the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hayward of Stoke-on-Trent. 31324 Bombardier Harold Hayward, born Stoke-on-Trent, served during the Great War with the North Midland (Staffordshire) Heavy Battery R.G.A. (T.F.) in the French Theatre of War from, 5.3.1915; he was killed in action on the Western Front, 25.6.1917, and is buried in Maroc British Cemetery, France.
