Oakleaf, good very fine, mounted for wear, with related Spink and Son, London box and Melton Mowbray Journal newspaper cutting, dated 10.2.1973 (8) Estimate £ 100-120 Provenance: The group found in a bus shelter near the Old Dalby village green, Melton, Leicestershire, 6.2.1973, and handed into the police as lost property. They featured in an article in the Melton Mowbray Journal, 10.2.1973 (where the 1914 Star, with Bar was incorrectly described as the Imperial Service Medal with Bar), but went unclaimed, and were returned to the finder in the same Spink and Son box in which they had been found.
